《朱文一线上建筑加拿大》自序

2026年3月27日，我完成了线上建筑加拿大的第一个设计作品，场地选在阿尔伯塔省的埃德蒙顿城；至5月5日，40天的时间里，我在线上探索了加拿大13个省和首都渥太华，完成了14个建筑、城市、景观概念设计作品。它们构成了《朱文一线上建筑加拿大》一书的主体内容。
以首字母排序，加拿大的13个省和地区为：阿尔伯塔、不列颠哥伦比亚、曼尼托巴、新不伦瑞克、纽芬兰与拉布拉多、新斯科舍、努纳武特地区、安大略、爱德华王子岛、魁北克、萨斯喀彻温、西北地区、育空地区；以及首都渥太华。针对每个省或地区，我通过油管视频和Vlog线上探索和体验省和地区的地理、人文和社会状况；通过谷歌地球和图片以及规划设计网站了解主要城市的空间特质和未来规划。线上的探究结合我曾经线下到访的回忆，尽可能校准了我对设计地段的空间想象。在此基础上，我提出并完成了14个概念设计方案，展示了我对未来加拿大城市空间潜在发展的可能意象。
不按热度，不按地理，按照省或地区名首字母排序探索一个国家，发现城市及其潜在的设计地段，并同步构思概念设计方案，带给我的是广阔设计新天地的全新感受。未知的下一站，对我而言，永远是惊喜连连的新发现、新构思和新方案。就这样，《线上建筑学》设计作品又增加了14个。
针对每一个概念设计作品，我进行了编辑和排版，包括作品名称、地点、完成时间等中英文字，轴测图或平立面图、总图、鸟瞰图、人视图等图纸。需要说明的是，在www.zhuwenyi.com网站上，我采用1张主打透视图+分析图+中英文简介和1分钟短视频来展示设计作品。本书采用的则是最终设计图纸展示方式，去掉了在短视频中出现的先后对比的现状图片。
本书共有12个附录。它们展示了我提出并探索线上建筑设计及其理论的过程。追求无止境。这本《朱文一线上建筑加拿大》排版完成时，我已经退休快3年了，线上建筑学的探索仍在进行之中。

ONE WORK PER PROVINCE
SELF-PREFACE OF ZHUWENYIONLINE ARCHITECUTRE IN CANADA

On March 27, 2026, I completed my first design work of online architecture in Canada, with the site chosen in Edmonton, Alberta; by May 5, within 40 days, I explored all 13 provinces and territories of Canada and the Capital Ottawa online, completing 14 conceptual design works for architecture, city, and landscape. These form the main content of the book Zhu Wenyi Online Architecture in Canada.
Alphabetically, Canada's 13 provinces and territories are: Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Nunavut, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, Saskatchewan, Northwest Territories, and Yukon; as well as the capital, Ottawa. For each province or territory, I explored and experienced the geography, culture, and social conditions online through YouTube videos and Vlogs; I studied the spirit of the places and future planning of major cities through Google Earth, photos, and planning and design websites. Combining these online explorations with my previous in-person visits, I calibrated my spatial imagination of the design sites as accurately as possible. On this basis, I proposed and completed 14 conceptual design proposals, showcasing my potential visions for the future development of urban spaces in Canada.
Exploring a country in alphabetical order rather than by popularity or geography, identifying cities and their potential design sites, and simultaneously conceptualizing design plans gave me a completely new sense of vast design possibilities. Each unknown next stop is always a source of continuous surprises: new discoveries, new ideas, and new design proposals. In this way, the design works of the Online Architecture increased by 14.
For each conceptual design work, I conducted editing and layout work, including the work name, location, completion date in both Chinese and English, axonometric or elevation/floor plans, master plans, God's-eye-views, Bird's-eye-views, and Eye-level-views. It is worth noting that on www.zhuwenyi.com, I display each project with one main perspective view, an analysis diagram, a Chinese-English description, and a 1-minute short video. In this book, the works are presented with the final design drawings, without the before-and-after comparison images featured in the short videos.
The book contains 12 appendices. They demonstrate the process by which I proposed and explored online architectural design and its theories. An endless pursuit. When ZHUWENYIOnline Architecture in the Canada was completed in layout, I had been retired for nearly three years, yet the exploration of online architecture continues.
