《朱文一线上建筑欧洲》（2013-2025）自序

这是继《朱文一线上建筑中国》《朱文一线上建筑亚洲》之后、该系列丛书的第3本《朱文一线上建筑欧洲》。欧洲一共有44个联合国成员国的国家，其中北欧芬兰、瑞典、挪威、冰岛、丹麦5国、东欧爱沙尼亚、拉脱维亚、立陶宛、白俄罗斯、俄罗斯、乌克兰、摩尔多瓦7国、中欧波兰、捷克、斯洛伐克、匈牙利、德国、奥地利、瑞士、列支敦士登8国、西欧英国、爱尔兰、荷兰、比利时、卢森堡、法国、摩纳哥7国、南欧罗马尼亚、保加利亚、塞尔维亚（科索沃）、北马其顿、阿尔巴尼亚、希腊、斯洛文尼亚、克罗地亚、波斯尼亚和黑塞哥维那、黑山、意大利、梵蒂冈、圣马力诺、马耳他、西班牙、葡萄牙、安道尔17国。
本书收录的73个建筑、城市、景观概念设计方案覆盖了所有44个欧洲国家。我实地到访过的国家有14个。也就是说，有30个国家，我是通过线上游的方式探索、发掘进而构想和表达设计方案的。实际上，即使我到访过某一个国家，实地体验过的设计地点也非常少。
《朱文一线上建筑欧洲》一书收录了自2006年至2025年完成的覆盖欧洲44个国家的73个概念设计方案。按照时间先后可以分为3个时期：
第3时期（2024-2025）收录了覆盖25个国家的25个设计作品，1个国家我完成了1个作品；主要集中在东欧、南欧和北欧国家。这是我自2023年退休后、2024年下半年开展欧洲国家线上游独自完成的建筑、城市、景观概念设计方案。这一时期，我称自己为线上建筑师。
第2时期（2021-2023）收录了覆盖14个国家的18个设计作品。自2021年后，我不再招收研究生，由此我开始了个人独自参加国际设计竞赛的经历。这一时期，我称自己为建竞者（Architecture Competitor）。3年期间总共完成的82个参赛作品的地点主要集中在欧美国家，其中有74个作品是我以建竞者身份完成的个人参赛作品，包括本书收录的18个地点在欧洲国家的国际竞赛设计作品。
第1时期（2013-2022和2006）收录覆盖18个国家的29个设计作品。这是我主持的朱文一工作室（ZHUWENYI Atelier）完成的国际设计竞赛参赛作品。在这一时期，我和研究生们合作完成了79个设计作品。本书收录了其中18个地点在欧洲国家的设计作品。在此，感谢研究生们的辛勤付出。
有必要指出，一是科索沃和利伯兰这两个至今还不是联合国成员国的国家也举办了设计国际竞赛；二是本书收录的2006年的设计成果《2045盖塔·百年联合国》一书已于当年单独出版。
本书的最后有5个附录，分别是朱文一著《线上建筑学理论》（2023）、《线上建筑》（2013-2023）、《线上建筑》（2023-2024）以及《朱文一线上建筑中国》（2013-2024）《朱文一线上建筑亚洲》（2015-2025）5本书的简介。它们展示了我提出并探索线上建筑设计及其理论的过程。

This is the third book in the series, ZHU Wenyi Online Architecture in Europe, following ZHU Wenyi Online Architecture in China and ZHU Wenyi Online Architecture in Asia. There are 44 UN member states in Europe, including 5 countries in Northern Europe: Finland, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, and Denmark; 7 countries in Eastern Europe: Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, and Moldova; 8 countries in Central Europe: Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein; 7 countries in Western Europe: Britain, Ireland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, and Monaco; 17 countries in Southern Europe: Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia (Kosovo), North Macedonia, Albania, Greece, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Italy, Vatican, San Marino, Malta, Spain, Portugal, and Andorra.
The 73 architecture, city, and landscape concept design schemes included in this book cover all 44 European countries. I have visited 14 countries in person. That is to say, there are 30 countries where I explored, discovered, conceived and drawing the design schemes through online tours. In fact, even if I have visited a country, there are very few design locations that I have experienced offline.
The book ZHU Wenyi Online Architecture in Europe includes 73 conceptual design schemes covering 44 European countries completed from 2006 to 2025. It can be divided into three periods according to the time sequence:
The third period (2024-2025) includes 25 design works covering 25 countries, and I completed 1 work in 1 country; mainly concentrated in Northern Europe, Eastern Europe, Central Europe, and Southern Europe. This is the conceptual design schemes for architecture, city and landscape that I completed individually after retiring in 2023 and starting an online tour of European countries in the second half of 2024. During this period, I called myself an online architect.
The second period (2021-2023) includes 18 design works covering 14 countries. Since 2021, I no longer recruit graduate students, and thus began my experience of participating in international design competitions individually. During this period, I called myself an Architecture Competitor. The locations of the 82 entries completed in the three years were mainly concentrated in Europe and the United States, of which 74 were my solo entries completed as an Architecture Competitor, including 18 international competition design works in European countries included in this book.
The first period (2013-2022 and 2006) included 29 design works covering 18 countries. These are the international design competition entries completed by the ZHUWENYI Atelier, which I chaired. During this period, I collaborated with graduate students to complete 79 design works. This book includes 18 of the design works in European countries. Here, I would like to thank the graduate students for their hard work.
It is necessary to point out that, first, Kosovo and Liberland, two countries that are not yet members of the United Nations, also launched international design competitions; second, the design works of 2006 included in this book, 2045 Geta·100 Years of the United Nations, were published separately that year.
There are 5 appendices at the end of this book, which are introductions to ZHU Wenyi's 5 books: Theory of Online Architecture (2023), Online Architecture (2013-2023), and ZHU Wenyi Online+Architecture in China (2013-2024), and ZHU Wenyi Online Architecture+Asia (2015-2025). They show how I came up with and explored the process of online architectural design and its theories.
The pursuit is endless. When the formatting of this book ZHU Wenyi Online+Architecture Europe (2013-2025) was completed, the editing and typesetting of ZHU Wenyi Online+ Architecture in Africa was in progress.
